Wedge Tips from :

Two Rivers Golf

The 56 degree wedge you received has a special dual sole design that can give you some extra help in your game.  The wedge was designed by Tom Wishon of Tom Wishon Golf Technology, assembled by Two Rivers Golf and brought to you by the Laborers Scholarship Foundation.  To get the full benefits from this special wedge here are a few tips:

#1 When playing out of the sand play the wedge forward in your stance or open the face of the wedge up. In medium density sand hit behind the ball with a relatively easy swing letting the club head bounce off the sand directly behind the ball.  Remember, to access the bounce you'll need, to play the wedge forward or open the club face.

#2 Try this wedge for nearly all shots close to the green.  It plays especially well when you have medium to fast greens to work with.  You should find that the 0 degree bounce in the heel of the clubhead plays very comfortably in a relaxed upright position.

#3 Find a full, 3/4 and 1/2 swing distance using this wedge.  Again the 0 degree bounce will make shots easy ie. less sculled low burners!

#4 In rough you can even open the face up and get away with nearly a 70 degree shot.

#5 Make an appointment with Two Rivers Golf to get the proper lie angles, length and to fit your wedge to your natural swing and iron set.

Thanks and enjoy,
