Introducing the Two Rivers Golf "Hole in One" club.

Because of our latest incredible story we have now created a Two Rivers Golf "Hole In One Club."  A few months ago Leah Heine signed up for a few coaching sessions with Doug.  After 4 sessions she called from a golf course in Hawaii having just hit her first 45 on 9 holes. A few weeks later she picked up her Two Rivers custom clubs and immediately set out to the golf course with Doug and her mother.  Leah shoots a birdie on the first hole and then the first time she pulls out her magic 7 iron, hits a hole in one! Leah's Hole in One was published in the Sacramento Bee: 3/28/2008, 116 yards, 7 iron, Antelope Greens.

The following week I noticed that Brent Takemoto had made a 173 yard hole in One at Northridge Country Club .  The wild thing about this was that Brent had purchased the very first set of irons from our golf shop 5 years ago.  He had just stopped by for a club check up in which we fine tuned his clubs!

Harry Cohen has made 2 hole in ones on Two Rivers Golf clubs!

Keith Gault hit a hole in one with his friends, however, they said it doesn't count officially because he hit it from the blue tees when they playing their round from the white tees. (It sounds like the club did it's job - the rest is up to the golf course)

Lyn Athey also recently hit a hole in one!

Congrats to all of you!  Now we are very curious as to how many Two Rivers Golfers have made  a hole in one since playing with their new stix.   At any rate we have become acustomed to everyday miracles from golfers who are playing in our opinion the absolute best in clubs - magic stix!

Call us or email us with your success stories --- and thank you for your continued support. - Scott

I'll have to choose a new goal.. it only took a few lessons... wasn't sure about how to deal with a whale jumping ... lots more...

Congrats and Welcome to the Hole in One Club.

We will reserve this spot for Mason Welch.  Although the Sacramento Bee failed to mention Mason's accomplishments We definately are most proud of Mason and have no doubts the Bee will catch up soon enough.

Mason is on his 2nd full set of Two Rivers clubs, third driver and star pupil of one of our coaches  Doug Seyfried.  As a Freshman at Del Campo last year Mason was the league MVP, the school MVP and Awarded Freshman Athelete of the year from his school.  As a sophmore Mason went undefeated in his league, for the second year in a row was awarded league MVP and school MVP for his golf team.  Mason routinely beats the star golfers the Sacramento Bee reported on and is most definately an Athelete to keep your eyes on.  We are equally if not more proud of Masons accomplishments in school and his conduct on the golf course.  Mason has become a true role model. I'd like to congradulate Mason, his family and the Two Rivers Golf folk who have had some say in shaping his game.

Up and Comming Tournament Golfers!

Congrats to Trevor and Leslie for multiple tournament winns.

Trevor actually qualified and participted in a Florida Optimist Tournament in 2007! -

what's Next Trevor?  Obviously we need some updated photos and list of new winnings since trevor is almost twice the height and golfer.  I heard through the grapevine that Trevor hit a 325 yard drive! A 7th grader!!!

"The Driver is absolutely awesome! I don't think there is a driver made in the world that I can do any better than this; I can work the ball all directions, I hit it dead straight most of the time and Just hit the HELL out of it! Awesome.  Great job Scott! Thank you."

Bryon Zympher , high tech businessman -Walnut Creek

"The irons are awesome! They felt so good...they just improved my swing! So..lovin those.  Also my first coaching session with Tom was incredible.  He immediately helped my game and I can see how I'll drop my scores with his guidance.  I played a round after my session that had to be the easiest golf I've ever played! Thanks again.

Ray and Dennis drove from Utah to Sacto to be fit by Two Rivers Golf.

Following is emails between Ray and Tom Wishon (Tom Wishon Golf Technology) :
From: RAYMOND KEARNS
Mr. Wishon
I recently was fitted for a set of 770CFE irons. I found the nearest company was Two Rivers Golf near Sacramento, Calif. Anyway, I love the clubs even though I haven't played them yet. It's winter here in Utah but that just maximizes the anticipation of getting out on the course.
Getting fit by professionals is a much smarter way to buy clubs. Scot and Jim at Two Rivers Golf made the experience for me and my friend Dennis worthwhile. We drove from Utah to Sacramento just for the experience. The quality of the Wishon brand is awesome. I don't have any idea how many Utah golfers play with Wishon clubs but I can imagine there aren't that many yet. Dennis and I are proud to be two. We have the clubs, bag, hats and so we will be walking/playing advertisements for your great product.
Oh by the way, loved reading your book, "The Search for the Perfect Golf Club". Ray

RAY:
After reading your email, I have to honestly say I am utterly and completely blown away, not to mention truly honored by your desire to be custom fit. I’ve driven across Utah into California in past years so I know the road and the wide open scenery. To think that you and your friend did this just to be custom fit is truly amazing to me and I am totally humbled. Wow.
I can definitely agree with your assessment of the guys at Two Rivers in Sacto. They truly are a superb example of what REAL custom fitting is and should be all about. I wish that every clubmaker were as committed to offering golfers the same type of fitting experience as are Scott and Jim. Many are, and more are becoming that way all the time as we keep pushing the facts to golfers about custom being better than buying standard, off the rack.
Thanks again so much for taking the time to write – you have no idea how much this blew me away to receive your email.

"I have tried hundreds of driver and nothing has even come close to what this driver does . I shot a 72 at WildHawk, a 74 at Woodcreek and with no wind shot a 318 yard drive! I'm hitting that driver so good it's unbelievable! This club has turned out to be phenomenal! thanks again.

Hi Scott..

I hit a large bucket saturday, and once I started swinging well, and letting the super clubs do the work..I can only say, I just have done this years ago! They are fantastic..and once I get used to having them, I expect my game will never be better..thanks so much to you and Will for zeroing in on clubs for my swing, and making this older golfer young again! After my MOI tune-up I shot my lowest round ever.  I shot in the 70's at Empire Ranch. I really felt that I had a consistent feel through out the set. Thanks.

To Scott and future Two Rivers Golf Customers, 12/27/06

Like so many beginning golfers, I started out on the wrong foot. I took up golf 11 years ago when I was a teenager. I bought a one-price complete golf set from a general sports store and was told by an employee that one size fits all. Specifically, I was told if you are anywhere from 5’- 6’ tall off-the-rack clubs fit. DEAD WRONG! As I later learned and payed through the nose on many embarrassing rounds and I eventually stopped playing for several years. This last year I decided to take lessons and have learned the fundamentals to play the different shots and clubs of this challenging game. I noticed while using the instructors ‘standard’ teaching clubs that the lie was ‘off’. So I educated myself about the world of ‘custom clubs’.

I am an American living in England, so I decided I would have clubs built while visiting my hometown, Sacramento. I visited a few clubmakers, but I was most impressed with Scott Herrigstad of Two Rivers Golf. What sold me about Scott is he builds with the best components and doesn’t associate with clones. Most important is Scott’s communication in this collaborative process with the customer and clubs. His dedication for getting the optimum results is very apparent during fitting. I spent 7 hours (I kept count) in Scott’s shop while I was fitted for irons, woods and a putter. It wouldn’t have taken so long but I am a lefty and this limits availablilty of components. For anyone in the market for golf clubs, I suggest you ask yourself: What is my swing speed? What loft is appropriate for my swing? How long should my shaft be for my ability and stature? What shaft flex do I need? What lie angle fits me? What grip is most comfortable? Do I need more/less weight in my clubhead? Who’s going to give me the custom service I need and has the technical expertise? Scott answered these questions and more. My Tom Wishon clubs are shipping right now, and I am very excited to play golf with custom fitted clubs. All I have to do is practice & learn, play & have fun, and trust my equipment—which will be effortless.

Thank you, Ron Denison Mildenhall, England

Wow! Ron - give us a heads up on how your game improves, thanks, Scottennison, England update email

Hey Scott, I just wanted to let you know that the clubs are performing and feel great. I have reduced my average score from 120+ to 100 this year(hey, I'm a beginner remember). The more I learn how to play different shots, the lower my score gets(90s are in the near future--honestly). The progress I have made this year has really improved my confidence. I played 3 military courses in Germany and out drove my stronger and more experience partners(wishon 915). The 321 hybrid has an effortless feel to it.  The PCF wedges are great, and they really get the ball up and on the green. I use lob wedge alot--I really like it. This last weekend, I wowed my friends by getting on the green in 2 on several par 4s and made par on 5 of them. Obviously, I'm not a great golfer(with a score of 100), but what is new is that I am hitting the ball firmly 98% of the time. This is my first season actually playing golf though(I don't count the occassional trip to the driving range). The clubs play very well for me.   Thanks again, Ron

Allan Wirth, Bay Area

I just wanted to express my appreciation to Tom Wishon Golf, and Scott at Two Rivers Golf in Carmichael/Sacramento, CA (http://www.tworiversgolf.com/home.html). I am currently playing two sets of irons built by Scott: Wishon 550Cs and 560MCs; both have FST Pro Black Lite shafts and Lamkin Crossline Classic grips. It was well worth the 2 hour drive from the East Bay to get clubs built by someone who really knows his craft.

1. I’ve had something of a “before and after” experience with the 550Cs so I’ll start there. Initially, I simply exchanged the heads I previously had with the 50s, keeping the same shafts. This was a swap job I had done at a large retail & repair facility. Unfortunately, the heads and shafts were a bad mix; the clubs felt insubstantial and I was hitting mostly pulls and hooks – and that’s when I was striking the ball well. My first range session with the 50s could have been accompanied by a soundtrack from an old-time radio show where a character opens the broom closet and every household object known to man falls out with a crash. I probably shanked, skulled, heeled, or toed ¾ of the bucket. The stench rising from my range stall would have knocked a hobo off my sister. I had that horribly dispiriting feeling of having purchased clubs I couldn’t hit.

2. All this led me to contact Scott at Two Rivers Golf. I went through a 2+ hour fitting session during which time I hit a variety of shafts with 550C heads. The best match was the FST Pro Black Lite shafts, accompanied by appropriate adjustments to the iron heads. The difference has been astonishing: the clubs feel more consistent, balanced, and responsive. Although I would not describe them as overly forgiving, they are definitely more so than before and infinitely more stable. I honestly don’t know what percentage is attributable to know-how, craftsmanship, MOI, or the discounted can of Two Rivers wonder dust but these are different clubs now.

3. Due to time and weather issues, most of my play with the “new” 50s has been limited but my range sessions alone have been much more productive and rewarding. I’m a 7 handicap and over the past month have shot the following rounds: a) 14 holes, one over par, with 4 birdies and a double bogey owing to a shanked non-Wishon gap wedge into a flower pot; b) 9 holes, two over par 38; c) 9 holes, two under par 34; and d) 9 holes, nine over par 45 - two brain spasm triples.

4. It may sound odd but I would describe the 50s as “game improvement” because that’s exactly what they’ve led me to do. I know immediately where I strike the ball and, more often than not, can make adjustments on the spot. The only irons I’ve owned that can compare to these in terms of “feel” is a set of Ben Hogan Grind blades I had several years ago. The 50s are truly a classic “player’s cavity” and I don’t say that as a “player”; my idea of working the ball begins and ends with trying to hit a relatively straight shot to the middle of the green, unless I have to “work” the ball around a tree or a fellow member of my foursome. All in all they are the best looking and most responsive irons I have ever played.

5. I’ve only had the 560MCs for a couple of weeks so they haven’t been through a workout like the 550Cs. Based on my normal ability to strike the ball, they are probably better suited for my game. I would refer to the 60s as “score improvement” clubs as compared to the 50s, but only, again, because my swing has gotten better with the latter. In sum, I would say that in comparing the 60s to the 50s, I gain as much in forgiveness as I lose in feel. The 60s produce a higher ball flight, a ½ club increase in distance, and tighter dispersion. They are definitely more forgiving on off center hits, and are truly a phenomenal iron in appearance and performance. And, yet, having said all that, I have a special attachment to the 50s perhaps on account of the effort it has taken to hit them well. I’d choose the 550Cs if I had only one more round of golf to play…at least for 2006.

In conclusion, I sincerely want to thank Tom Wishon for designing and producing such great products, and Scott at Two Rivers Golf for having the ability to fit them perfectly for any given player.

Jaques Cormier -update, Atlanta, GA

Hey whats up fellas. This is Jacques Cormier and just writing to give you an update on what has been going on with me and my golf game. I have been playing on this tour called the Georgia Pro-Am Golf tour and I am 4 for 4 in tournament wins. I play in the division according to my handicap, so I play in the first flight but am thinking about going to the pro division. There is a amateur division and a pro division. I have been playing with this young guy who is a scratch golfer and it has been making my game so much better. Since I have been here, I have shot a 71, 69, and 68 and am excited about the state of my game. People love my irons, they always ask what I am playing. When I shot the 68, I eagled one of the hardest holes on the course which is a 560 yard par five that has a sloping fairway from left to right. I hit about a 340 or 345 yard drive and a 220 yard 4 iron with the ball below my feet to within 5 feet of the pin. The guy I was playing with has been a member there for a long time and said he has never seen anyone eagle that hole. It plays up hill to the green. It feels like I am really learning how to hit those Tom Wishon irons, especially the long and mid irons. The last tournament I won, I shot a 76 and pretty much played 5 iron off 7-10 of the holes, hitting my 5 iron between 205 and 210 yards and I had one OB and didn’t birdie any of the par 5’s which I was near the green in two. In another tournament in Douglasville Georgia at a course called St. Andrews Golf & Country Club I shot a 76 and had 4 OBs, so the game is coming around and the irons are great. If you have any Tom Wishon shirts and hats or anything let me know how much so I can start wearing it during the tournaments. I also played in my first club tournament at my home course Mystery Valley and won that shooting a 77, so I am 5-0 in tournament in Georgia.

Kevin Carew, Croatia

"Dude - spoke to my bro-in-law this past weekend. He is VERY pleased with the club. In fact, he won a pro-am tourney using the Ferrari, and was pleased as punch with it. I'll see if we can get a cut of his take if he ever goes pro!   Thanks a ton!!" Wow! best on-line fitting ever!

Kevin Cassidy

One day after picking up his newly adjusted putter:

"I shot my lowest round ever today and wanted to stop by to personally tell you thanks. I shot 7 one putts! I'd also like to order a set of wedges."

Oland Murphy

Wanted a 200 yard club, ended up with a TWGT 785 HF hybrid (Angles Camp):

"I shot 200 yards every time and straight as a string! At first I thought I must have had a mishit...this couldn't be right, but then another one was right on the money! I couldn't have asked for anything better. The MOI tune-up was also incredible. I must have gained 10 yards on every club! I was hitting my 5 iron 150 yards, now my 7 iron is my 150 yard club! I was just amazed!"

Kevin W. McHenry, NorthPole, Alaska

"Hey guys, just got back from my Vegas trip.....Thank you, thank you, thank you! My driver is close to effortless to pipe straight down the middle since the changes you've made to it. I used to be happy with 225 down the middle.

My first round out with the new changes to it, I had drives of 303, 290, 288, 267, 260 etc. and dead center! Combined with the changes you made to my irons, I reached my first ever par 5 in 2 (been pin high before) but never putting for eagle! That brings me to the putter....very good results, in 36 holes on difficult greens, I 3-putted exactly once. Norm for me would have been about once per nine. Again, thank you very much for getting the right clubs in my hands. I have been telling anyone who will listen about the good work you guys do and I pity those who haven't been truly custom fitted"

Lyn Athey

"On just my third time out with my new driver I was blasting past my friends, whom we formally shot the same distance. I have gone from 180 yd drive to 200 in just 3 games! Also my irons that you adjusted are working beautifully. Good job!
thanks, Lyn "

Dr. Alvin Jones, Georgia

I love my Tom Wishon 560's.  None of my friends had heard of them, but they know I always have the best equipment.  I'm really happy with them. I'd still like to work on my driver my next trip out, but I did hit a 400 yard drive the other day! (We'll get it worked out-Scott)

Ken Sherman

Ken came to the shop looking for a 165 club:

"I'm hitting the hybrid you made me 185 yards! I love it! I use it all the time, out of the rough, the fairways everywhere. It has become my goto club. " I was concerned about not getting the 165 yard mark, however, Ken loves the club and wants to update his set now that he's getting more than he expected.  His goto club is a TWGT 785 hybrid #4 with a Fujikura Banzai shaft - I know what you're talking about Ken - I have exactly the same club in my bag!

Tim Flanigan

"I was trying to figure out the best way to describe what you guys do: Absolute Predictability. Even on knock down shots at the range I was hitting the same puddle every time."

John Rowland

"I shot an 85 at Spyglass - I'm very happy about that!" Thanks for the beers John and congrats!

Dennis Dicks

" Finally got to try new driver. A true masterpiece! Unless one is found that swings itself, the 949MC is in the bag to stay. Don't know if its the 1/2" taken off length or the new head but everything works great. Accuracy, feel and distance was excellent. Was getting 240-250 on wet course. Had to clean mud off every drive. Can only imagine with dry fairways how far ball will go. Sorry to hear 757 Speeder is being replaced. This is such an excellent shaft.  (just my opinion)   Thanks again ."

"I had to take out the club tonite, I couln't resist.  Anyhow, I got on the driving range..oh my God what a difference! Holy Crap! I thought I was hitting the ball when I first got the driver well, but now it's consistent even when I do it bad and I know what I'm doing wrong.  I mean Holy Shit! I think you guys nailed it.  I can't believe how far it's going. Nice Work."

John Smillie

John sent an email to Tom Wishon Golf Technology:

Matt,

I spoke with you late last year and I was finally able to make the trip from the San Francisco bay Area to Sacramento. Only problem......................I should have done it sooner. It was a great experience and they are building a MOI a set of 550C's for me. Another problem..........now that I got to see and hit more of the Wishon equipment I need more of it. 515 grt 5 wood,hybrid,driver....................did I miss anything. Anyway just wanted to let you know, this was a great experience and well worth the 2 and a half hour drive. You offerd to pay for my gas if it didn't work out..............................well I don't need it. In fact I will probably be making a few more trips there in the future."

A few weeks later:

Two Words -Awe-some! Those things are unreal! 95% of my hits were right in the middle of the clubface!  I believe in these so much that I sold my Mizuno's!

I played 3 days and had my best round ever at Poppy Hills! The divot pattersn were good, sole was hitting square etc.  I had 8 legitimate chances at birdie. Now If I could just get my putter working.  The gap wedge and hybrid you recommended were awesome. I guess to sum it all up I really had some quality iron shots and had a great time. Thanks.

Coach Joe Neff, (track and field)

"Wow, ok, first I'll comment emotionally.  They were awesome! It was just no work to swing these clubs.  Not like mine that feel like boards.  It was out of control.... I was hitting the 5 iron 175-180 yards! and the 7 iron 165-180! Even my bad shots were pretty good.  I could do things with these clubs that I never even thought of with my own clubs. They were absolutely sick! (in a good way). Technically they were the most forgiving clubs I have ever hit!."

6 months later: I just had my best round in my life- 2 pars! The driver gets me closer, the hybrids I couldn't believe - totally straight!, I put a 5 iron just off the green - to be honest and was impressed with my equipment! With my old set all the clubs went about the same distance - Now I am pretty much know where they're going.

Greg Rodriguez

Calling from the first green, the same day he picked up his new clubs:
Greg: Laughing... "I can't believe it, laughs...here talk to my friend"

Friend "what'd you do to my boy! He just hit a 5 iron 210 and then a PW 150 to the green!"

One week later "My irons are just soooo great! It's just a world of difference from my old set! you guys RULE! I just have sooo much confidence now, everything goes straight!"

A few months later: I am down at least 10 strokes, nailing the wedges and love the hybrid. I am now consistently in the 80's and shot a 77 last week! Before I was usually in the 90's and low 100's!

Casey Hoehn (HS team player)

On message machine: "Wanted to give you guys some feedback on my 515 GRT 5 wood.  I took it out for the first time and hit it straight down the middle around 250 yards! I crunched one around 265 and the guy I was playing with said "holy cow that's a 5 wood!"

Two weeks later, after getting an Alpha Driverw/Evolution shaft: "What can I say! The driver was great today.  I played it for the first time at Haggin Oaks today.  At the second par five I hit it around 290 yards and ended up with an eagle.  Otherwise I hit it nice and straight down the center.  I was getting around 270 with around 6 feet of roll since the course was so wet.  I reached 3 of the par 5's greenside and ended up with 2 eagles and a load of birdies and officially shot a par 71 on a par 72 course with your guys clubs!  I want to thank you so much for your support and look forward to any other tweaks to my set that you recommend.

Jan Stephenson, Northridge member.

The day after her new iron set: "I just called to let you know I am so thrilled with my clubs I practiced for 1/2 hour with each club and even work on the Sand Wedge shot you showed me. It was just great - they all worked just like we talked about. What I really like was the length- they were so comfortable. Thanks again."

Randy, Jan's husband, stopped by to give us feedback:

"Just wanted to let you know that since you made those clubs for Jan she is shooting in the low 80's.  Yesterday she called from Mexico after shooting an 82! and that was in the rain!

Later, Jan called from Mexico:

Boy did I have fun at a tourament Randy and I played at Cabo Del Sol here in Cabo.  I got Longest drive and closest to the pin!!!!.  Love my clubs, See you soon, Jan
"I'm having so much fun." I'd like another set exactly the same for California."

In an email:

"As you know, I spent a great deal of money last year visiting the various golf shops from the Bay Area to Elk Grove to Folsom in search of the kind of service I felt I deserved for the price I was being asked to pay. Not one store could explain to me what I was getting in return. Needless to say, I didn't feel any of them deserved my business going forward. Fortunately, I've been able to save my friend's and neighbor's money by sending them to your shop. So far, they've been very happy with your service and appreciate my recommendation."

Jeff Darrow
"You guys are Awesome!

I used to muff 1 out of 5 shots off the tee. Today I was in Monterey and I took my new "Bang O Matic" driver to the range. I was clearing the 250-yard sign ... straight and long! Holly Crap! I never thought I would be able to hit a driver that far with hardly any effort.

Scott and Jim, I love the irons! The Hybrid is Money! Thank you for making the game of golf FUN again. I finally own clubs that I can hit.

For all of you thinking about buying clubs go to Two Rivers Golf. Don't make the mistake of buying a set of clubs "off the rack" somewhere else. In addition, don't buy a driver that "looks nice" or that someone else swears by. The perfect driver has to be made specifically for YOU. This is the only way to go if you are looking for new clubs!

Not only is the process, product, and experience fantastic but, Scott and Jim are good guys and they will take the time to build you the perfect clubs.

Thanks again Scott and Jim. I will be stopping by again, now I need some fairway woods!.

"Hey Mike, I've been spending more time at Two Rivers Golf and referring more of my friends there as well.  I think Scott and Jim are the best clubfitters in town, hands down. Everyone I have sent has had great success."

Harry Cohen
"I hit my Cobra driver and Steelhead 5 and 7 woods straight and reasonably far; however, my new driver, 5 and 7 are just as staight and I hit each of them 10-15 yards further! On one hole at my club I am now hitting my 7 wood over the green! Many thanks for your expertise, time and patience."

Thank you VERY much for taking the time to email me and share your experiences in being fit at Two Rivers Golf.  I want you to know that this is the 5th email that I have received in the past 3 months from a golfer who read the Search book AND was fit at Two Rivers Golf!!  They truly are one of the best fitting shops in the whole country – in fact I wish that all clubmakers were as skilled and knowledgeable as Two Rivers have proven to be.  They present what a real custom fitting experience is all about and I am so pleased that they have chosen to work with my company.

Thanks again and best wishes to you in this great game,

As a consequence, Two Rivers Golf (Carmichael, California) built me a much-improved driver, 5 wood and 7 wood (your components, of course).
They have exceeded my expectations."

"Thanks very much for your email and your kind words about the Search book. That's nice to know that the information is interesting and helpful to you!

You are in superb hands with the guys at Two Rivers. In other words, they definitely are at the top of the list when it comes to what custom clubmakers can offer to golfers. I can tell you that I have received several very positive comments from golfers who have worked with them to be custom fit."

After only three weeks of play: "Let me put it this way I have marks the size of a dime in the center of every club face - all I can say is, buy a set of irons from these guys."

Dick Wiesner
"Just wanted to call back and tell you the adjustments to the driver have worked out great.  I didn't lose any distance by shortening the shaft and I am much more accurate off the tee.  The Tom Wishon 5 and 7 woods are particularly good, better than I have ever played with.  Thanks again."

Lexi Opper, Rio Girls Team
phone: "On my first day out I shot my best score and came in 4th.  I did really well.  I almost beat this girl who has been playing a long time.  Thank you so much!" Keep up the great work Lexi, we'll work on your driver next!

Mary Milesi
I've always played with sets other people gave me and thought they were great. The first weekend I played with my new set I beat my golfing partner for the first time on Saturday. I played Sunday as well, which was the first time I actually wanted to play two days in a row! I played great again-especially with the driver! I Love my Clubs!" (When we were looking for names for Two Rivers Golf, Mary's suggestion was "I Love my Clubs!")

I was at a golf tournament for work over the weekend and the driver was working great. Once again the irons came through for me. One of the holes was a money hole, par 3, closest to the pin. Everyone kicks in a little cash and the winner gets the pot. Well I was the winner. I won $170. So far with these new irons I have won a Great Big Bertha 454 driver and $170. Looks like I made the right decision on my investment. Can't thank you guys enough. Keep up the great work."

1 year later:

"...I've been playing real well - shot a 75! I had never shot that low, never shot in the 70's!- Everything is going staright.  I am real happy and tell everyone I know. Thanks again.

Erin O'Neil, father and uncle to two talented young players
At the shop, after a fitting session with his nephew, Mason Welsh : "When you see someone change from 160-180 yard drives to 220-240 yard drives you know it is not just an increase in swing speed, but a better fit in a club. Trevor loves his putter. He dropped 5 strokes per 9 holes and hits at least two 10 footers a round. Last week he hit a 25 footer!"

Trevor O'Neil , @ age 9
Recently 3rd place in Fox Tail Jnr. Classic: Erin, Trevors father said he is playing his best golf ever after having his new Two Rivers Golf MOI fairway woods matched to his driver. "Trevor has dropped six strokes off his game in the first week. Hits the 5wood 180 yards with a beautiful draw and the 7 wood 165. His old Nike Blue 5 wood only gave him 110 yards. In his last tournament he hit a 238 yard drive, hit 8 of 9 fairways and 5 of 9 greens in regulation! Trevor is even playing his irons better from the confidence he has in his woods." Keep it up Trevor.

Mason Welsh, age 12
"I hit a 295 yard drive last weekend!  Most of them were 230-240, but then I really caught a few good ones." Mason discovered the new FL-45 shaft with a 515 GRT head. We can't wait to see how Mason performs with his new fully MOI matched set of irons and dual sole SW

Rick Oxbourough
"Just with that one club I dropped 6 strokes." (new driver)

Jeff Darrow, teacher.
"Irons are incredible, they're sweet!"

Kieth Gault, firefighter.
"I took my old 3 iron out the other day and it felt like a lead pipe. With these irons I don't need any lead tape, I know exacty where they'll go - dead straight."

Craig Moyle
After loft/lie adjustment: "I just wanted to say I'm playing much better since you adjusted my clubs.  It has definately cut down on my back soreness and are playing much more consistently. Thanks again.

Cybil Bryant, Christian Brothers High School Girls golf team
"I hit a 240 yard drive with my new driver!  That's a 40 yard gain from my last driver"

Cal Wong
Quick write up: Very knowledgeable and intuitive fitting and advisement by Scott and Jim.  Access to quality components and accurate club building using launch and moi technology! Thanks Cal.

Don Breidenbach
Telephone call: "Do you want my feedback? Ahhh ok. I'm hitting longer and hitting more fairways. Not only did we get the math down, but actually got results. I'm a 23 handicap and was playing with an 8 and 12 this weekend and outdrove them more than once. We've played together for awhile and their comment was 'whatever you did, it worked!' Between lessons with Frank (Richards) and the right club, it paid off!"

Two weeks later, after buying a hybrid, 321Li#4 with Irod R shaft: "The Hybrid is definitely easier to hit. I hit two greens from 170 yds out, which put a smile on my face-good for a 22 handicap! Much better than my long irons. I no longer carry a 3 or 4 iron."

Vern Gabel, Real Estate agent and x-golf shop owner.
At our shop to a client: "Do you mind if I interrupt? I used to own a golf shop nearby and I know how to build clubs. These guys are building my next set of clubs. They're doing things I have never heard of and getting incredible results."

Two weeks later, when asked about his new irons: long pause...."They were wonderful. It was a great experience - I was getting to the point where all my confidence was coming back.  It especially helped knowing the lofts where about the same as my old clubs, so I knew what to expect.  I have gained back 2 club lengths I had lost over the last few years.  I can't wait to play more."

After a Two Rivers driver re-alignment: "I think I'll have to write another letter of recommendation for you guys.  I don't know what you did, but it really worked. The dispersion was tighter and the ball went furthur.  I had spine aligned it the first time, but I am a complete believer in whatever you did to it, thanks"

After a brand new driver: "I hit a 300 yard drive and several 260 yard drives. Some were downwind, but...I'm very happy!"

Bob Schweder, Kansas City
After first round with a Spectrum driver with an AccuFlex V2 shaft: "I was a single at Ancil Hoffman and told the people I was golfing with that I hadn't golfed in a year since having carpal tunnel surgery. I flew the trap at the first tee and had a 50 yard shot to the green. Best drive of my life! I hit every fairway except one using this driver and my wrist didn't hurt afterward. You guys will make all of my clubs."

Jim Yount
After trying out a Fujikura Vista Pro 70 with a GRT 3 fairway wood from Tom Wishon Golf Technology: "Wow! I felt like that club was made for me-it's the best 3 wood I've ever hit. I was hitting it further than my driver! Make me up a 3 and a 5…let's go for the 7 wood, too - what the heck!"

Jesse Oxman
1 month after new irons: "I'm getting 15% more distance and 40% better accuracy on every shot! "

Bob Wells
"I added one of the weight tabs you gave me with the impact tape and found that I hit the club in the center with 2 grams more weight. It's hard to believe, but the results are right there on the tape. The other day I played at Black Oak and was hitting 250 yard drives down the center. It definitely makes it much more enjoyable that way. Thanks again."

Follow up call : "Hey Scott, 'wanted you to know I shot my personal best today. It’s just like you said, “golf should be fun” Well, it sure is fun at that level. Thanks again, the driver and fairway woods really helped."

Coach Drawbert
I used to be a hooker. I've hooked a ball my whole life. The only problem I found with these irons is that they are built too good. I hit everything down the center. I don't have one of your utility clubs yet, so I grabbed my old 4 iron and everytime I hooked it! I absolutely love these clubs. They look good, set up well and hit dead straight. My handicap has dropped a good 4 strokes."

After finally finding the right driver: "I played 7 days in a row on my last vacation and only missed 5 fairways with this driver!"

A few days later: "Yesterday at Arbuckle I shot a 76 - didn't miss a fairway.  It's just getting better and better.

John DeGrace, Operations Manager Arco Arena
"Lovin the wedges, I'm hitting all of my irons further and staighter. I swing easier and my back doesn't hurt after I play like it used to. The 3 and 5 woods are just right - look forward to a driver."

James Santos, x-professional bowler (took up golf after major hip surgery)
Same day he picked up new driver, fairway wood and utility wood: "I almost stopped by, but I was drenched from sweat at the driving range. I wanted you to know that I was so impressed! That was the greatest I’ve ever hit woods my entire life!” After I warmed up with some irons, like you mentioned, I hit every ball straight and far with the hybrid club. Then I did the same with the 5 wood, but further than I had ever hit a 5. I don’t think I’ll need a 3 wood!. And you were right about the 5 wood preparing me for the driver (since they are MOI matched) I hit the first 15 balls with my driver with a slice and then it clicked and I hit the last 30 balls straight as an arrow. I've never been consistent with a driver. Finally, I believe I’ll have fun with a driver! I would have liked to hit another bucket of balls but it was too hot. Honestly, I was in awe! Thank you and have a great weekend. We’ll work on a wedge next."

Jacques Cormier, x-professional basketball player -soon to be golf pro...go Jacques!
On the message machine: "Scott and Jim this is Jacques Cormier. Hey man, that 3 wood is beautiful! That's the 3 wood! That's the money! That club goes so nice man, I hit that thing down the middle, off the grass..I was hittin it goood! That's it - right there man - that's night and day difference - Night and Day! That is an excellent club there, THAT'S A MONEY CLUB! Even when I didn't hit it that good I was getting 240-250 out of it! That's the club. That putter's money too. That's the most beautiful putter. That 3 wood-that's it man!"

After a few rounds with his new irons and winning Lowest Net Score: "Love the clubs, if I had my new Wishon wedges, I'd have won overall gross and taken home $500."

Carl Harris, x-pro football player
After bending his irons and changing to a new 84 gram graphite shaft driver: "You ought to see where I’m chippin from! The driver is working really well. And the irons are great, quite a few times I was chippin ‘em 3’ to 8” from the pin. I hadn’t played for a few years and I shot an 84 in my tournament!

Cary Twing
Follow up call: "I must have been sleeping after I left the shop because at the end of the round the score card read -1! It was the first time I had got 4 birdies in 9 holes. There was one hole I hit 165 with my 7 iron landing 3' from the cup. I was playing with this young kid who was crushin the ball-and I was hanging right there with him! One rolled up to 270! And those wedges…a couple of times I was 30 yards out and came real close to droppin em. I hit the 5 wood 250 yards on one hole, man it took off-it was screaming! Scott asks, "What was working?" All of it! The woods, the irons-everything. With my old clubs I never saw them go straight at the pin. I can't wait to get out again. I was kinda in the zone."

Chris Sparkman, Arizona
"Home Run with that Samurai shaft (actually a Banzai by Fujikura) It's the best feeling shaft I've ever felt! I was nailin it!"

Tom Phillips, real estate, long time friend and El Camino alumni.
"I hit two birdies my first round with the new clubs.  I should mention that the first of the two birdies was my first birdie ever." Tom has played more golf in the last few months than the last ten years.

Joe Peterle, x-E.C. high school principal to one of the owners of Two Rivers Golf!
After winning his tournament: "It's been over 10 years since I've hit a 5 wood that well! I played my home course this weekedn and on the 590 yard last hole I do not remember ever being closer.  Another day I played the same hole with some of the guys and hit another 240 yard shot wit it! We actually walked it off.  I couldn't believe it-neither could the guys whose 3 woods I out drove.  A friend was saying it's all about the confidence in the club.  Well, that's it with this one. I feel so good standing over it.  I am looking forward to a MOI match in a 3 wood and driver "

A week later: "Just stopped in for some more of your business cards, practically everytime I pull out my 5 wood someone asks about it.  I just made my first eagle on account of the 5 wood.  Thanks again."

GRT 5 wood with a ZT High Flight shaft.

Brent Takemoto
Email reply: These clubs are easily the best clubs I've ever owned (my first set included persimmon woods by Powerbilt and MacGregor MT irons). The biggest advantage has been the driver-even under these conditions, I'm hittin it as far as I used to hit my old clubs in the middle of summer.

Marvin Hopper, fire fighter.
"Since May, when I got the clubs I am now posting a 10! I was a 22! At least 8-10 strokes off my game consistently.  These clubs take away the doubt"

Ryan Rasumusson
Follow up call: "Haven't got out enough, but I love the wedge! It actually helped a lot with my chipping - good feel and great in the bunkers. Much better than my old wedge."

Clarence Shepard
After a driver tune-up: "I don’t know what you did to my driver but it’s really working good!"

Jay Hamer
After first round with new irons: "I had the shot of the day, my ball landed 2' from the cup and rolled to 1', which I putted for an easy birdie! It made my day"

Scott Vaughn
"My name is Scott Vaughn and you created a wedge for me with the Eagle's hometown half price deal, and all I can say is I sank a 35' chip shot the first time I took it out! Seeing as I have only played a few games in my life I was rather happy to
watch that ball fall in the hole from out of the rough on a slope. In time I plan on having you custom fit all my clubs to my swing."
